Thank you...
for the smiling face greeting me when I got off the bus, even though I was half an hour late. (Curse you, Greyhound!)
for the surprise on your face even though you had known I was coming for three weeks.
for leading me around two because if it wasn't for you I would have had no idea where I was.
for trusting me enough to tell me all the things going on in your mind.
for letting me turn off your music to turn on my new Ani CD even though you'd heard it a thousand times ($10 bucks at a used CD store. Most excellent!)
for making me dinner even though my birthday isn't really until Thursday.
for your ability to read my facial expressions like text.
for letting me touch you a little too much because I know it's going to be month till I have anything more than your voice.
for the two layer birthday cake you cooked so skillfully in your oven which only has a top-element. (Really, talk to your supe about that, baby.)
for letting me sleep on your couch.

I'm sorry, Kids. The comments aren't working because, well, I don't know why which is why I'm getting the urge to curse because this is quite frustrating. I should have it fixed before the night is through. Oh, and I'd just like you all to know that I'm the frickin' Italian master. In the manner of tradition, I entered the room thinking I would fail and left with a sense of doubting confidence but since that is how I felt after every test last year, I'm just going to admit right off the bat that I aced that mofo.

Keep waiting, children
I'm really sorry that my posts have been so sporadic lately. I'm still waiting for the internet to be hooked up on my computer. Tuesday, my flatmate's cousin is coming to hook it up so I should be cool by then. Want an interesting tidbit of information? Because I have been devoid of the internet, I have all my readings done for the next 3 weeks. Isn't that sick?

Karen got the tickets and I'm going to see Ani on Wednesday, November 27th. The really beautiful thing about that is that I have a final on the 27th of November in my Women Writers class, which goes till 4 in the afternoon and the concert starts at 8. It's going to be cutting it close, but I can do it, bitches. :) Thursday is totally getting skipped.

You can keep your GD cable internet
I loath cable internet. I don't find it that much faster than DSL, which I attribute to the extraordinary number of computers in the area. Also, it does not allow for easy networking. I have 3 flatmates and we all need internet. At this time the only computer that can get cable running on it is Lara's, which, as you may have guessed, is the computer I'm working on as I write this. I think I can also guess what you're saying to yourself. Something along the lines of "4 girls trying to network their computers and it's not working. NO! *pfsh*" The real problem is that we aren't new to this. We've all have to network computers before. I had to do it when I had a roommate and so did the other girls. It's just different with cable because you have to get IP addresses for all the computers. Also, you have to pay $10 extra for each additional computer. (!) F that shit, man. I am not going to pay an additional 10 dollas a month for this hassel. We called Bell Sympatico and they're hooking us up. Cable internet can lick my balls. (If I had balls, that is.)8.9.02
I just found out via The Dent that Howie Day is opening for the fall Tori Amos tour of which none of the dates are confirmed. I'm excited. Howie Day isn't my first choice, but it's still pretty good. Day sounds a little too much like David Gray for my tastes, but he is better than some other artists she might have gotten from Epic (ie. . Although, with Tori, I may have expected someone a little more original. Menh. I'll just be glad if I get to see the wonderful Ms. Amos in person, regartdless of who she has as her opening act. :)

Just a little longer kids. Right now I'm writing on my flatmates computer because there is some problem with our Roger's Cable internet. I don't care how fast it is if it doesn't work. Bastards. Grrr....

I'm outta here
I'm moving tomorrow, kiddies, so if you don't here from me for a couple days, you'll know why. Most of you have the new number, so call it, a'ight? Anyway, today I had to take care of a couple errends, while I waited for my sister to get out of class. I finished the errends about a half hour earlier than I thought I would so I decided to go downtown to hit the old 'hood. Three things I'll miss: Blackwater dark roast, Cheeky Monkey lady and the cobblestone path between The Imperial and that parking lot. I simply adore the Blackwater dark roast and I've sorely missed it while in Waterloo. The Cheeky Monkey lady is always wonderful to talk to just because she's lived. She was telling me once about how her husband and herself saw Tori in a little cafe in New Orleans. Amazing. As for the cobblestone path, I don't know why I'll miss that. I think it just signifies what I love about downtown. It feels as though it is a town. I have nothing like that in Waterloo. I will have it. I just haven't spent 18 years there yet. ;) Talk to you soon.3.9.02
My name is not MILITIA!!!
Written in a fit of rage at having another person call me that and not question the accuracy of that name at all. I'm beginning to think that I should be afraid of Americans too. That much stupidity located in one spot. It baffles the mind.
